Octopus 2020.4 now available

Octopus 2020.4 introduces significant updates aimed at simplifying the deployment and maintenance of web applications across Windows and Linux platforms using various programming languages like Java, NodeJS, Python, and Ruby. The release enhances JSON configuration variable replacement support by expanding compatibility to include YAML, XML, and Java Properties files, making it especially beneficial for Java application developers. Additionally, Octopus Cloud now features built-in Worker Pools with dynamic workers for improved cross-platform support, facilitating automation without the need for managing dependencies or containers. These workers can execute scripts and deployment tasks in isolation, leveraging Docker for efficient and isolated execution while minimizing dependency management challenges. This release does not include breaking changes and comes with long-term support until March 2021, paving the way for future enhancements such as the upcoming Config as Code preview.
