Nerd Days 1.0 emerged as a virtual event designed to connect developers and engineers when traditional gatherings like FutureStack were canceled due to the pandemic. Spearheaded by Jemiah Sius, Director of Developer Relations at New Relic, this free digital conference aimed to foster real-time interactions through live coding, demos, workshops, and expert-led Q&A sessions. Scheduled for October 13, the event offered 25 sessions across various topics, including cloud migration, open-source tools, and DevOps, tailored to developers and engineers of all experience levels. It featured contributions from industry engineers and was structured to provide hands-on experiences, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and practical learning.
