Deploy Synthetics from Kubernetes Environments to Monitor Employee-Facing Applications
Blog post from New Relic
New Relic has introduced a new feature that integrates its Synthetics monitoring tool with Kubernetes environments, allowing users to automate and manage application deployment and monitoring processes more efficiently. By utilizing containerized private minions, developers can incorporate uptime monitoring directly into their Kubernetes deployments, streamlining the process of ensuring critical endpoints remain available and performant. This integration makes use of Helm charts to facilitate the deployment and management of private locations within Kubernetes, enabling automatic redeployment of Synthetics alongside application updates without additional configuration. The New Relic Kubernetes cluster explorer provides enhanced visibility into the health and performance of private locations and other containers within the cluster, helping teams to proactively detect and resolve issues. This approach offers an automated solution to monitor application availability and performance, thereby reducing manual efforts and improving system reliability in rapidly scaling environments.
