AfroTech World Offers Opportunity to Connect, Recruit, and Showcase Success
Blog post from New Relic
AfroTech World, a major multicultural technology gathering in the United States, is transitioning to a fully virtual event from November 9-14, 2020, due to the pandemic. This event attracts global participants and focuses on fostering a strong Black tech community. New Relic, a company committed to diversity and inclusion, is actively participating in AfroTech World by allowing its Black employees, referred to as "Black Relics," to attend the conference and engaging in recruitment efforts to attract Black talent. New Relic has previously had success recruiting through AfroTech and aims to showcase its Black talent, such as Developer Advocate Jemiah Sius, and promote its inclusive company culture during the event. Through virtual booths and panels, New Relic seeks to highlight its achievements and provide networking opportunities for attendees, reflecting the company's commitment to diversity and community engagement.
