Neo4j 1.3 “Abisko Lampa” M04 – Size really does matter

Neo4j has reached its fourth milestone towards version 1.3 Abisko Lampa, with significant improvements in data storage capacity and quality assurance on Windows. The new release allows for a massive increase in database size to 32 billion nodes, relationships, and properties, while maintaining no added size overhead. To upgrade the database, users must carefully follow instructions to ensure compatibility with the new format. Issues have been identified with backup component functionality on Windows, but incremental backups can still be performed. The REST API has also been enhanced with index-related operations, including advanced queries and cleaner index removal methods. Additionally, numerous minor bug fixes and improvements have been made across various components of the database.
