Operation J-Pack or How Memgraph Organised 2020 Xmas Celebration

Memgraph celebrated a significant company milestone by organizing a unique Christmas event in 2020, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing requirements. To avoid the monotony of virtual celebrations and bring joy to their Croatian team, they decided to deliver homemade Janjetina, a beloved local dish, to each employee across Zagreb. Utilizing their expertise in optimization and graph algorithms, the company developed a custom Lamb-Routing-Problem (LRP) algorithm to efficiently plan delivery routes, ensuring the meals arrived warm and intact. This innovative approach allowed the company to maintain a sense of togetherness while showcasing their technical prowess, with plans to share the algorithm's technical details in future blog posts.
