Announcing Memgraph 1.0!
Blog post from Memgraph
Memgraph 1.0, a high-performance graph database now publicly available and production-ready, offers a versatile system for developers and data scientists to build graph applications with ease. Initially developed in 2016, Memgraph supports both transactional and analytical workloads using the Cypher query language and is compatible with Neo4j through the Bolt protocol. It employs an in-memory architecture with C/C++ implementation for low latency and high throughput, supports ACID transaction semantics, and utilizes multi-version concurrency control for improved performance. Memgraph includes features like Memgraph Lab for data visualization, optimized storage, Python and CSV import tools, and TensorFlow integration for machine learning applications. The commercial offerings, Memgraph Enterprise and Memgraph Cloud, provide additional features such as high-availability replication, security measures, and a managed cloud service. This release marks the beginning of ongoing enhancements to ensure Memgraph remains a powerful and user-friendly graph database solution.
