Steer OCI to Kubernetes with Artifactory and Helm 3

The latest release of JFrog Artifactory expands capabilities for Kubernetes users by introducing compliance with the Open Container Initiative (OCI) standards and support for the Helm 3 client. This allows for greater flexibility in container ecosystems, enabling users to run Kubernetes with any OCI-compatible client and Container Runtime Interface (CRI) that suits their needs. Artifactory 7.11.1 treats OCI images as equal to Docker images, allowing them to be stored and pushed natively without conversion, and supports various OCI-compatible clients like containerd, podman, and ORAS. Helm 3 support simplifies and enhances security by removing Tiller and consolidating dependencies into a single chart.yaml file. These updates facilitate easy upgrades and expansion for existing Artifactory users and offer an inviting starting point for new users through a free cloud account.
