This program is made possible by Intercom's focus on data security and customer trust, with certifications such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA. The company built European data hosting first, followed by Australian data hosting, which was launched four months after the initial launch due to the experience and experimentation gained from launching EU data hosting. The program aims to support businesses in different regions, particularly those with specific needs or industry verticals that value storing their data locally within their jurisdiction. Intercom prioritizes building automation, learning fast, and producing a repeatable playbook for future projects, allowing it to quickly spin up more data hosting options.
