Priceline, a part of Booking Holdings, Inc., accelerated its cloud migration and adoption of advanced deployment patterns by utilizing Harness, significantly reducing the time required to implement canary deployments from six months with three engineers to just a few days with one developer. Originally using a custom deployment solution for its on-prem environments, Priceline recognized the need for a new tool to facilitate its migration to Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and the development of new deployment patterns. Harness enabled Priceline to modernize its technology stack with minimal effort, providing capabilities such as secrets management and the ability to create new pipelines for Helm charts, which facilitated the transition to GKE. As a result, 45% of Priceline's applications are now hosted on GKE, with the objective of migrating all applications to the platform.
