We’re going live from Google I/O
Blog post from Google Cloud
Google I/O 2013 offered a comprehensive virtual experience for developers worldwide, providing live streams of keynotes, technical sessions, and exclusive interviews with Google engineers from May 15-16. The event was accessible through the Google I/O homepage and featured four channels of technical content that could be streamed on various devices, with sessions recorded and available on the Google Developers YouTube channel. Google Developers Live (GDL) facilitated live broadcasts, executive interviews, and product deep dives, while the Google I/O mobile app and social media channels provided real-time updates. Additionally, developers had the opportunity to engage locally through I/O Extended events, which were held in over 400 locations across 90 countries. Mike Winton, the Director of Developer Relations at Google, emphasized the importance of making the event accessible to developers globally, while also encouraging community engagement and interaction through various platforms and events.
