Irene from Spain inspires others to learn Google technologies with her new podcast and more

Irene Ruiz Pozo, a former Google Developer Student Club (DSC) Lead at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena in Spain, has made significant contributions to promoting Google technologies among university students through various innovative projects and events. Her initiatives include creating a learning lab that familiarizes students with machine learning tools like 360º cameras and 3D scanners, and developing an augmented reality game in partnership with the National Museum of Underwater Archeology, allowing users to explore virtual exhibits. Irene also participated in Google's annual Hash Code programming competition, where she realized the importance of communication and collaboration alongside technical skills. Inspired to foster a mentorship network among DSCs in Europe, she launched a podcast to facilitate collaboration and highlight opportunities like the Google Summer of Code Scholarships. Now a Google Developer Groups (GDG) Lead, Irene continues to expand her skills and professional network within the developer community, eager to advance her career.
