Introducing the Google APIs Explorer
Blog post from Google Cloud
Google introduced the Google APIs Explorer on March 7, 2011, as an interactive tool designed to simplify the process for developers to experiment with Google APIs directly from their browsers. Supporting over half a dozen APIs at launch, the Explorer allows users to view available methods, parameters, and inline documentation, enabling them to execute requests and view responses in real time. The tool facilitates easy exploration and testing of APIs by allowing users to input parameters and execute requests with a simple click. For APIs that require access to private data, users can switch to private access and authorize the Explorer accordingly. This initiative aims to help developers quickly discover and utilize Google APIs, enhancing their ability to integrate Google's services into their applications.
