Google Developers House at SXSW
Blog post from Google Cloud
The Google Developers House at SXSW, held on March 10th and 11th, 2012, offered a dynamic two-day event featuring lightning talks, code labs, developer hangouts, and a LEGO Mindstorm hackathon. This part of the Google Village at SXSW was accessible to all conference attendees and provided opportunities to engage with Google Developer Advocates, Engineers, and Product Managers. Participants enjoyed a variety of activities, including lightning talks with lunch, interactive programming classes covering Google+ hangout apps and Android app upgrades, and a mixology event blending science and cocktails. The event also featured a LEGO Mindstorm Hackathon, where teams built Android-controlled LEGO race bots, culminating in an evening rumble. Additionally, developers had the chance to engage in one-on-one sessions with Google Developer Relations product experts to seek advice and debug code. Those unable to attend in person could view live streams of select activities, thanks to a partnership with NewTek.
