Google Code-in: Are you in?

Google Code-in, an annual open-source development competition for 13-17 year olds, encourages students globally to delve into open-source development through diverse tasks organized into categories like coding, documentation, outreach, quality assurance, research, training, translation, and user interface design. The competition, which begins on November 21, 2011, involves mentoring organizations selected from those who have participated in Google’s Summer of Code program. In its previous iteration, the contest attracted 361 students from 48 countries, with 14 grand prize winners being invited to Google's headquarters in Mountain View, California. The aim for the current year is to increase student participation beyond previous levels, with updates and participation details available on the Google Code-in website and mailing list.
