Google Cloud Storage is out of Code Labs, with new features and lower price

Google Cloud Storage, previously known as Google Storage for Developers, has transitioned out of Code Labs and introduced new features along with reduced pricing. Key updates include support for the App Engine Files API, which currently works with Python and is designed to facilitate easier integration with App Engine applications; support for other languages like Java is in development. A new API providing detailed usage information, such as network access and storage data, has also been introduced on an experimental basis, enabling users to analyze their usage and integrate with existing analysis systems. Additionally, Google has eliminated charges for upload bandwidth and reduced prices across the board, offering volume discounts for large users and resulting in significant cost savings for customers with substantial data storage and processing needs. The new pricing is retroactive from the beginning of October, and customer feedback is encouraged through a discussion group.
