Fridaygram: small world, little robots, tiny feature
Blog post from Google Cloud
Satellite imagery has made the world seem smaller by allowing people to view distant locations, and Google has enhanced this experience with its Follow Your World service, which now supports 43 additional languages and notifies users via email when new satellite images become available for their selected locations. Meanwhile, engineers at UC Berkeley's Biomimetic Millisystems Lab are innovating with their Dynamic Autonomous Sprawled Hexapod (DASH) robot, which now features added wings to improve its speed and climbing capabilities. In a small but useful update, Google search now displays a user's IP address when queried with "ip." Additionally, Google celebrated the birthday of Disney Legend Mary Blair with a special Google Doodle, recognized for her contributions to "It's a Small World" and various other Disney projects. The Fridaygram posts provide light-hearted, geeky updates, offering a fun break from more serious content.
