Debut your app during SxSW with Google Cloud Platform Build-Off

Google Cloud Platform hosted a Build-Off competition in conjunction with the SxSW Festival in Austin, Texas, encouraging developers to create innovative apps using their platform. The event aimed to showcase creative technological solutions in music, film, or gaming, offering participants the chance to win up to $5,000 in cash and $100,000 in Google Cloud Platform credit, along with 24/7 support. Participants were invited to develop their apps either individually or in teams of up to three, with submissions open from February 5th to 28th, 2015. Apps were judged on originality, effectiveness, use of Google tools, and technical merit, with select winners given the opportunity to present their creations to an audience of 200 tech enthusiasts during the awards ceremony. This competition sought to discover and support groundbreaking ideas at the intersection of technology and creativity, continuing SxSW’s tradition of celebrating innovation.
