Blog post from Google Cloud
In a bid to enhance the global reach and functionality of the Google Assistant, Actions on Google has expanded its language support to 16 languages, including new additions like Hindi, Thai, and Dutch, facilitating developers to create localized apps through Dialogflow or the Actions SDK. The platform has introduced features such as deep linking to Android apps, enabling seamless user transitions between voice interactions and app functionalities, and askForPlace, leveraging Google Places API for accurate location-based queries within conversations. These updates aim to simplify the development process for global audiences by offering template-based action creation in select languages and streamlined localization processes, while also enhancing user experiences by minimizing repetitive introductions for returning users. The ongoing developments reflect Google's commitment to broadening the accessibility and effectiveness of the Google Assistant platform worldwide.
