Goetz Buerkle is developing UnscrewMe, a wine tasting scheduler app, by leveraging GitLab for organization and project management, using its free private repositories to maintain a centralized, flexible storage system for various types of documents and media. By utilizing simple tools like Google Keep for quick note-taking, despite its lack of Markdown support, and Visual Studio Code for editing and committing notes to GitLab, Buerkle ensures efficient content generation and management. GitLab's project management features, such as issues and milestones, provide a structured yet lightweight framework to track progress and define project phases. Additionally, a pre-launch website was created to build anticipation for the app, although Buerkle's primary motivation remains personal utility and interest in the service. Through this structured approach, Buerkle aims to help Londoners spend less time searching for wine events and more time enjoying wine tastings.
