On June 5th, a spirited dodgeball tournament took place at Palega Recreation Center, featuring nine companies competing for the coveted Octotrophy, which had been held by Heroku since 2013. Organized by Constanza and the Dodgeball Society, the event was filled with excitement, camaraderie, and intense competition, culminating in GitHub's team, Ace of Rebase, defeating Heroku in the finals to reclaim the trophy. The tournament succeeded in raising $50,045 for five San Francisco nonprofits, including At the Crossroads and Californians for Justice Education Fund, with ongoing opportunities for donations through Brightfunds.
