GitHub has announced enhancements to its geographic data rendering capabilities, now supporting TopoJSON, which is a more compact version of GeoJSON. Users can render GeoJSON and TopoJSON in .geojson, .topojson, and .json files without needing to rename them. The update includes automatic clustering of nearby markers to help visualize complex datasets, and provides a template for embedding GeoJSON maps on external websites using JavaScript, such as on GitHub Pages.
