Elastic APM 7.4.0, released on October 1, 2019, offers several new features and improvements, including structured filters for enhanced data exploration, performance visualization by geo-location, and support for Angular single-page applications. The update enhances the Real User Monitoring (RUM) capabilities with a geo-location performance chart and strengthens the APM to Logs integration by allowing navigation between distributed traces and logs without losing context. Additionally, a Java ECS Logging library has been introduced to facilitate log processing in ECS-compatible JSON format, improving log correlation with the APM Java agent. The release also includes full framework support for the .NET agent, enabling automatic instrumentation of ASP.NET web applications. Elastic APM 7.4.0 is available on the Elasticsearch Service or as part of the Elastic Stack's default distribution.
