Driving dashboard actions in Kibana with URL drilldowns

Kibana 7.10 introduces a powerful feature called URL drilldowns, which enables users to navigate directly from dashboard visuals to any predefined webpage, enhancing the actionability of data-driven insights. This feature is particularly beneficial for security practitioners and DevOps teams, as it allows for immediate response to identified issues by linking directly to relevant systems, such as IT ticketing platforms or security escalation tools. URL drilldowns build upon previous enhancements in Kibana, such as dashboard-to-dashboard drilldowns and direct connections to the Discover app, which have collectively transformed the way users interact with data in the Elastic Stack. This new capability also supports passing querystring parameters within the URL, allowing for the serialization of values and date formatting, thereby providing a seamless transition from analysis to action. Available now in beta, URL drilldowns are designed to significantly improve response times and context for users by integrating external resources and streamlining workflows within the Kibana dashboard environment.
