Detectify utilizes a global community of ethical hackers, known as Detectify Crowdsource, to quickly automate security research and protect web applications from attacks. In 2020, the community submitted over 1300 vulnerabilities, including more than 180 zero-day vulnerabilities, which Detectify used to develop modules and security tests, thereby enhancing internet security. Acknowledging the contributions of its community, Detectify highlighted the top 10 most critical Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) added to its scanner in 2020, which ranged from SQL injections to authentication bypasses, primarily affecting software like Oracle WebLogic, Microsoft SharePoint, and Citrix XenMobile. These vulnerabilities were classified according to the OWASP Top 10 categories and assessed with CVSS Base Scores to determine their severity. Detectify invites others to join their efforts in making the internet safer by participating in their Crowdsource community and offers a 14-day free trial of their security products.
