Couchbase is experiencing growth and increasing adoption, notably in providing caching solutions for enterprises looking to enhance existing applications or transition to next-generation technologies. In collaboration with Thumbtack Technology, Couchbase has developed tools to integrate with popular ORM frameworks like Hibernate and Eclipselink, by creating a boilerplate code framework to use Couchbase as a level two cache. This initiative aims to address the unique challenges posed by different JPA standards and vendor-specific implementations, as seen in the integration of Couchbase with Hibernate and Eclipselink, which has been published on GitHub with test cases for configuration demonstration. These efforts enable enterprises to extend applications with a durable object cache, leveraging Couchbase's capabilities to reduce database load, prevent cold cache, and ensure cluster durability.
