Couchbase recently hosted a Customer Spotlight event at the UPS Innovations Center in Parsippany, NJ, where Principal Architect Konstantin Tadenev presented on seven use-case categories where NoSQL technology has proven impactful for UPS and other enterprises. These use cases include session management, mobility, and agility, among others. The presentation explored typical business and technology problems in modern IT, such as scalability and data storage needs. Couchbase is currently running 22 production applications with the company, including one application with over 5.5 billion documents and 24 TB of user data, which are handled by the database at an average rate of 51,500 operations per second.
