Coralogix has introduced several new features for its Security Traffic Analyzer (STA) tool, aimed at enhancing cloud security for organizations of all sizes. Key updates include an automatic AWS VPC Traffic Mirroring Configuration Manager, offering scalability to manage costs efficiently, and a new installation process allowing users to select between spot or on-demand instances. Users can configure machine size for the STA, automate configuration syncing and .pcap file uploads to S3, and benefit from built-in monitoring with a Prometheus node-exporter. The STA now features domain letter frequency analysis to detect machine-generated domains and "baby domains" to identify newly registered domains potentially linked to malicious activity. It also includes NIST enrichment for detecting software vulnerabilities and comes with over 60 default alerts and dashboards to improve security measures. These enhancements aim to provide comprehensive security analysis and monitoring, catering to diverse organizational needs.
