Circle Internet Financial has introduced the native USD Coin (USDC) on the Avalanche blockchain, specifically on the Avalanche C-Chain, allowing users to mint USDC directly through Circle Accounts and APIs. This native USDC can be seamlessly deposited back into Circle Accounts and converted to fiat currency. In contrast, USDC.e is a bridged version of USDC from the Ethereum blockchain, transferred via the Avalanche Bridge, and is not supported by Circle products. Users cannot deposit or use USDC.e within Circle's systems and must unbridge it back to Ethereum to convert it to fiat currency through Circle. The process involves converting USDC.e to native USDC on Ethereum, which can then be managed through Circle Accounts for fiat conversion or transferred to Avalanche.
