The use of Chainlink and IPFS has enabled significant advancements in distributing creator tokens by reducing gas costs through off-chain data storage and retrieval, thereby lowering entry barriers for users. Iroiro, after winning the ETHOnline hackathon, has expanded to the Ethereum mainnet with support for token distribution on xDai and Polygon, offering more versatile distribution options. Additionally, efforts are underway to develop a generalized IPFS External Adapter for broader contract use.
