The Ethereum Name Service (ENS), a prominent decentralized naming service, has been awarded a grant to develop immutable, human-readable domain names for Chainlink oracle contracts and a Layer 2 Rollup-based solution for off-chain DNSSEC proof verification, improving security and reducing on-chain gas costs. ENS simplifies blockchain address interactions by replacing complex addresses with user-friendly names, enhancing security through DNSSEC proofs, and supporting the Chainlink and Ethereum ecosystems. Nick Johnson, ENS Founder, expressed enthusiasm about the grant's potential to expand ENS and improve Chainlink network interactions. The grant program aims to support the Chainlink ecosystem's rapid growth by empowering teams to develop hybrid smart contracts and secure oracle infrastructure, thus advancing the dominance of digital agreements.
