DLC.Link Receives Chainlink Community Grant to Bridge Chainlink Oracle Data to Discreet Log Contracts (DLCs) On the Bitcoin Network

DLC.Link has received a Chainlink Community Grant to develop open-source infrastructure that bridges Chainlink oracle data to Discreet Log Contracts (DLCs) on the Bitcoin network, enhancing Bitcoin's utility as a decentralized global settlement layer. This initiative aims to leverage Chainlink's decentralized oracle network, which secures over $75 billion across multiple blockchains, to provide tamper-proof external data inputs for conditional payments on Bitcoin. By integrating Chainlink's data with Bitcoin's secure blockchain, developers can create advanced decentralized applications with enhanced privacy and security features. The grant supports the creation of a Chainlink External Adapter, facilitating smart contracts that connect DLCs on Bitcoin to a wide range of external data sources. This collaboration aims to increase the adoption of trust-minimized conditional payments and expand support for Bitcoin layer-2 networks like Lightning and Liquid, thereby benefiting both the Bitcoin and Chainlink developer communities.
