At the 2021 ETHDenver Hackathon, the Pr!ce team, consisting of Anweshi Anavadya, Ishan Ghimire, Sam Orend, and Jasraj Bedi, developed a blockchain-based fantasy sports game using Chainlink’s oracle technology to integrate off-chain NBA player performance data into smart contracts. Their platform, built on the Ethereum network, allows users to trade semi-fungible ERC-1155 tokens representing shares of NBA players, with the potential to earn dividends based on player performance. The team leveraged Chainlink External Adapters to connect their custom off-chain data API, enabling efficient dividend calculations that minimize on-chain gas fees. The platform also employs an Automated Market Maker (AMM) to determine share prices, similar to Uniswap, and concludes each season by issuing "Champion NFTs" to top stakeholders. Pr!ce aims to expand its hybrid smart contract architecture for future projects, enhancing the integration of real-world data with blockchain applications.
