In September 2020, Bubble launched its Immerse pre-accelerator program specifically designed for Black founders, with the first cohort graduating and launching their apps using no-code tools. To expand the program's reach while maintaining a safe space for underrepresented founders, Bubble introduced a second section in each cohort for Indigenous or people of color founders. The new format will split into three parts: an intro to Bubble, a product accelerator, and demo day prep; the application process has been modified to include a wireframe upload and recorded video interview; and an Immerse Mentor Network has been established to connect founders with experienced operators and investors. The goal of the program is to support Black, Indigenous, and POC entrepreneurs by providing resources, guidance, and connections in the tech ecosystem, aiming to change the narrative on VC investments and entrepreneurship.
