Matthew Dykema, founder of Crowify Gig Marketplace, built an app that connects customers to service providers in their local areas, born out of his desire to help people find work after being laid off due to COVID-19. He used no-code platform Bubble to create the app, which has a two-sided marketplace for both customers and service providers, with over 300 different services offered, including handyman services, dog walking, and piano lessons. After launching the MVP within three weeks, Crowify added over 500 gigs from his local region in just 60 days and paid out over $7,000 since its launch, with plans to scale the application by hiring engineers and raising a VC finance round.
