SpiceDB has released wildcard support, allowing relations to include all subjects of a particular type, making them public for checks. This feature was developed after considering various proposals and community feedback, with the proposal of wildcard support being the most applicable due to its positive features such as type safety and symmetry. The new feature is now available in SpiceDB and Authzed.com, enabling developers to create more powerful permissions systems without the need for specialized types or relationships between resources and every user. With this release, users can model their permissions system with public support, testing and discussing it in the playground or Discord server, where Authzed engineers and a community of users are available to help.
