Summary

Aiven now supports Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) authentication, which streamlines account management and password policy enforcement. This feature enables Single Sign-On (SSO) by allowing the exchange of authentication and authorization data between users and auth providers. Currently, Aiven supports authentication using Google G-Suite and Okta, with plans to support others in the future. SAML allows admins to invite members to use SAML authentication once, automatically enrolling them into every owned project. To enable SAML on Aiven, the admin sends an invite link to their project collaborators, who then choose to either link an existing Aiven profile or create a new one using the associated SAML authentication provider.
