This is a Guest Post from our Friends at Tableau SingleStore is the database platform for real-time analytics, allowing users to analyze current and historical data together while ingesting millions of transactions per second. The new SingleStoreDB Self-Managed 5 named connector, currently in beta, enables direct connection from Tableau, making it easier to visualize operational data. Users can input server details, port, and user credentials to connect to their SingleStore aggregator node and start analyzing data instantly. This new feature is part of Tableau's upcoming 10.0 release, and users can sign up for the beta connector on the Tableau website.

Today marks the 1-year anniversary of SingleStore's Community Edition launch, which has seen tens of thousands of downloads and hundreds of active clusters across various organizations. The Community Edition offers unlimited capacity, scale, and features similar to SingleStore Enterprise Edition at no cost forever. To support its users, SingleStore provides free resources such as a public Slack channel, open source tools like Streamliner and dbbench, documentation, and training videos. These resources have contributed significantly to the community's success, enabling developers and companies to explore in-memory computing capabilities with ease. The company aims to enable any organization to operate in real-time, and Community Edition is a key vehicle for achieving this goal.

SingleStore will be attending several events in May, including GEOINT: May 15-18 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, where they will feature a lighting talk titled "Real-Time Geospatial Intelligence at Scale" by Mike Kilrain. They will also showcase their PowerStream application for real-time geospatial analytics across nearly 200,000 wind turbines worldwide. Additionally, SingleStore will be present at Informatica World: May 23-26 in San Francisco, where they will feature their work during the Big Data Ready Summit and have a booth on the main show floor. Finally, they will also participate in the In-Memory Computing Summit: May 23-24 in San Francisco, where CTO Nikita Shamgunov will conduct a talk titled "Propelling IoT Innovation with Predictive Analytics". SingleStore will be at booths 1514 and B5 during these events, and will have copies of their book, Building Real-Time Data Pipelines, available.
