Vantage Launches Report Annotations

Vantage has introduced a new feature called Report Annotations, enabling users to add contextual annotations to cost reports by marking specific days with comments about infrastructure or cost events. This addition aims to bridge the gap between reports and issues, allowing annotations to be directly assigned to a specific report on a specific date. Users can create annotations by clicking the "Annotations" button or directly on the cost report graph, with a sidebar displaying all annotations and new entries. Annotations are represented as vertical lines on the report graph, and users can resolve or reopen them as needed. This feature is available to all Vantage users, including those on the free tier, and there is no limit on the number of annotations that can be added. While annotations cannot yet cover date ranges or be accessed via API, these functionalities are on the roadmap for future updates.
