Vantage Launches a Native Jira Integration for Issues, Anomalies, and Cost Recommendations
Blog post from Vantage
Vantage has introduced a native integration with Jira, allowing users to seamlessly assign and track issues related to cloud costs directly within the Vantage console, thus streamlining the workflow for FinOps and development teams. This integration enables the creation of Jira issues for Cost Anomalies, Budget Alerts, Active Resource Reports, and Cost Recommendations, allowing users to monitor the progress of these issues without leaving Vantage. Previously, users had to manually create these issues or use Vantage's REST APIs for integration, with no feedback loop to Vantage regarding the issues' statuses. Now, users can configure Jira issues to align with existing workflows, enhancing efficiency by displaying issue statuses and linking directly to Jira for further management. This feature is available to all Vantage customers who use Jira Cloud and does not incur additional costs, although it is not compatible with Jira Data Center deployments. Users must have specific roles within Vantage to create Jira issues, and the integration relies on the Jira REST API to gather necessary project and issue information, with permissions required for both view and update access.
