Introducing Sigma's New Grid Layouts
Blog post from Sigma
Sigma has introduced a new Grid Layout system for its workbooks, designed to provide a more efficient and visually balanced data storytelling experience. Previously, Sigma's layout system allowed for independent element sizing, which often led to difficulties in managing object dimensions and unpredictability across different viewports. The new Grid Layout organizes elements into a responsive grid of rows and columns, enhancing clarity, precision, and spatial symmetry across various screen sizes. This system includes usability features such as multi-select, auto-align, and drag-and-drop capabilities, allowing users to easily modify element positions and layouts. The Grid Layout is available for upgrade during its Beta period, replacing the Classic Layout later in the year, with future updates to include additional functionality such as grouping elements and reordering them within the Page Overview panel.
