Sanity has announced significant updates to enhance the user experience with two major releases: a new Roles system and an overhauled management interface. The Roles system introduces default roles—Administrator, Developer, Editor, Contributor, and Viewer—that streamline content control within Sanity Studio by specifying user access and actions, with the flexibility for enterprise customers to create custom roles. The revamped management interface, now universally available, features improved project management tools, intuitive navigation, and enhanced reporting functions, enabling users to easily find and manage information. Additionally, the Activity Feed offers increased visibility into user actions for better security and compliance, with options for administrators to disable it for sensitive projects. These updates are designed to facilitate easier onboarding and project management for businesses of all sizes, with ongoing improvements planned for the platform.
