As Neo4j, a startup specializing in SaaS graph databases, experienced growth, its sales organization evolved, necessitating the creation of a specialized renewals team led by Mike Brophy. Tasked with managing the increasing revenue from contract renewals, Brophy encountered challenges with the traditional tools such as Google Sheets and Salesforce, which were either inadequate or too rigid for the renewals team’s unique needs. Seeking a more efficient solution, Brophy leveraged Retool to develop the Neo4j Renewals Control Center (RCC), which allowed for customized data tracking, improved forecasting, and streamlined workflows without requiring extensive coding or specialist intervention. This new system significantly enhanced the team's efficiency, eliminated last-minute surprises, and improved renewal-related outcomes, demonstrating the powerful impact of tailored software solutions in adapting to organizational changes.
