Built on Render: Four Winners from the MIT web.lab Competition
Blog post from Render
Render celebrates the creativity and innovation of small teams through its support of experimental apps, as showcased in the MIT web.lab competition. Four standout apps, each developed by teams of three or fewer undergraduates in just one month, were hosted on Render, demonstrating diverse applications of technology and design. Hexblend, the first-place winner, is a color-matching game that uses the MERN stack and features a unique UI design, while Maze Craze, which took second place, is a maze game with dynamic “perks” that evolve gameplay, built using the MERN stack and Socket.io. Memoia, awarded third place, provides a virtual study space with task-based growth features, and Purrductive, an honorable mention, is a virtual cat café designed to help users focus on tasks. Render's platform enables these innovative projects by offering a robust cloud infrastructure that supports rapid deployment and scaling, allowing developers to focus on building and refining their applications without the burden of managing complex infrastructure.
