What’s New: Change Impact Mapping, Visibility, and On-Call Improvements

PagerDuty has announced a series of updates to its platform, featuring enhancements such as expanded Change Impact Mapping integrations, a new Visibility dashboard for Business plan users, and improvements to on-call processes and incident response automation. The Change Impact Mapping is now generally available and integrates with platforms like GitHub, Puppet Relay, Buildkite, and GitLab to help teams identify and predict the impact of changes on business-critical services. Business plan users can now access the Visibility Console for a comprehensive view of digital operations, aiding in on-call preparation and incident coordination. The updated Zendesk integration offers bi-directional communication between engineering and support teams, enhancing automated workflows and customer service interactions. On-call readiness has been bolstered with new reports and templates, while the Multiple Override Creation feature simplifies scheduling for multi-day unavailability. Additionally, the platform's Service Event Rules API and Content-Based Alert Grouping have been refined to speed up incident response and allow more precise alert management, with features like dynamic field enrichment to provide responders with essential context for faster incident triage.
