Optimize Triage With Alerts and Suppression
Blog post from PagerDuty
PagerDuty has introduced changes to its data model to redefine alerts as objects that track monitoring tool states, leading to the development of new features called Alert Triage and Suppression. These enhancements allow users to group related alerts into a single incident object, facilitating a more efficient and streamlined incident management process. This approach helps reduce noise, improve collaboration, and decrease resolution times by centralizing critical alert information and enabling responders to focus on a single incident rather than multiple uncoordinated alerts. Alert Triage also offers benefits such as the ability to see all impacted services, streamline cross-functional handoffs, reduce alert fatigue, and establish improved incident command for better collaboration. These features are available to all PagerDuty customers at no additional cost, and users are encouraged to explore these new capabilities to optimize their incident response strategies.
