Nylas, a company founded in 2013 with a focus on creating an inclusive and welcoming culture, has consistently prioritized defining and evolving its core values as the team grows and the company faces new challenges. Initially starting with a small group of people who shared a common background, the company formally articulated its values in 2017 during a pivotal transition, laying a foundation for future growth. In response to the changes brought by the global pandemic and a shift to full remote work, Nylas organized its first all-company annual kickoff in Las Vegas, engaging all 120 employees in a personal mission, vision, and values exercise. This exercise, designed with the help of advisor Joe Musselman, led to the distillation of key values that reflect the company's current ethos: Trustworthy, Playful, Nurturing, and Unstoppable. These values are intended to guide Nylas as it endeavors to unlock human potential and navigate its future trajectory.
