ngrok has introduced a new Traffic Policy module, allowing users to define and manage traffic policies across all ngrok platforms, including the Cloud, API, SDKs, or Kubernetes. The module uses Common Expression Language (CEL) and JSON or YAML to create rules for incoming or outgoing traffic, enabling users to restrict access to specific paths, prevent unwanted access, quickly deprecate API versions, and more. The Traffic Policy module provides a flexible and uniform approach to configuring and managing traffic, making it easier to secure applications and optimize performance. It is currently in early access and can be configured through the CLI, SDKs, or directly on a Cloud Edge.
