In a bid to enhance incident management and reduce resolution time, New Relic's Applied Intelligence product features a tool called "suggested responders," which uses machine learning to identify the most relevant team members for resolving production issues. By analyzing past incident data and user interactions, the system automatically recommends the most suitable responders in real-time, thereby minimizing unnecessary involvement and improving efficiency. The model employs a three-phase process—supervised pattern recognition, label spreading, and a recommender engine—to predict the likelihood of user involvement in resolving incidents. This tool integrates seamlessly with New Relic's platform, offering real-time suggestions directly in the issue notification payload, and allows users to provide feedback to refine the model further.
