MongoDB has announced the general availability of a modernization toolkit, developed in partnership with Informatica and Hitachi Vantara Pentaho, to help customers migrate from legacy databases to MongoDB. The toolkit simplifies the process of identifying and moving data into MongoDB using a discovery-driven approach, while also enabling impact analysis, data transformation, and end-to-end data management. It supports one-time movement of data at scale, as well as continuous data modernization, including change data capture and reconciliation procedures. The solution is expected to help customers evaluate the suitability of MongoDB for new applications and application modernizations, with a focus on reducing project timelines and increasing ROI.
